I bought this suit on private sale, right after Mister Saint Laurent announced his retirement…… I got it just in case-in case I will one day get to use my education for something more than an Apéritif story...


I don't have to tell you who Yves Saint Laurent was - to say that he was a legendary couturier is as the least I could do...
not only this suit is beautiful, timeless classic, with elegant details (like silk signature lining), but it brought me luck from the first time I ever put it on...
Imagine Wednesday morning -April in Manhattan – it was my day off , which is common for people working in fashion industry ... the phone rings - it's friend, who got me a job interview at the very reputable financial firm downtown...


I took a quick shower, with no time to blow dry my hair I decided to put it in sleek back hair do < didn't quite work out, since my hair is naturally wavy and the wind of Wall street area is harsh> I arrive in time-wearing black pencil skirt suit-this one...a little nervous and very exited... in the office on 15th floor overlooking the harbor with greenish statue of liberty in sight ...
I still to this day think it was my best interview ever... It was an hour+ long, with lots of questions and not easy explanations...<-so, you have master degree in engineering... -yes, sir I do, but I never had a chance to use it... -so, you never worked in office before?? - no, sir, but I always wanted to use my education... and this position seems like a perfect one for me ..> BLAH>>BLAH>>BLAHHH. I was totally unprepared - all I could do was to go with the flow: Positive attitude + good look!!!
LISTEN, I nailed it...I GOT THE JOB!!!!
I have to admit that YSL suit I was wearing must have contributed a lot to the outcome of this interview!!!
This suit is a miracle worker!!! It makes you feel strong and it gives you power!
I could go on and on about strange feeling you have once you worn it...for example: I met my future husband wearing this suit...

I spent hours that would go into days - days that would go into weeks - and weeks that would go into month - and month that would go into years and so on... working on my closet...every time friends asked me what was I up to-it would be: organizing my clothes... In fact it became such uneasy act that I would quote: "to count my clothes is as difficult as to count my hair"...it became an inside joke... Don't think that I am a greedy one...I swear I donated and gifted my clothes regularly...Still there's a cloud over my head///I just want to give you one example: I got more than 200 pantyhose...( see photo)
It is a serious matter...and I want to take it seriously (with a smile)...So I am inviting you to laugh at me/with me

"BIG SALE and more" Party!!!

When did it finally get to me that my life is changing?
Maybe it happened, when I realized that the date I was planning to have my "BIG SALE and MORE" party is on October 1st '10.
As I was writing down the date 10.01.10-
my heart skipped a beat....it's a SIGN!
The date 10.01.10 is perfect. I will explain why I think this is.
I always had my relationships with numbers-prime numbers in particular are among my favorites...
See for yourself: I was born on the 13th, my mom on the 11th, and my son on the 7th.
In school, on the student list i was always number 13. And we lived in the apartment #13 until i was 11...
Then at the University my ID number was 1111.
I can't tell you how many times I would look at the clock and see 11:11 or 13:13...
I can go on and on...airplane confirmation numbers, credit cards numbers, telephone numbers, addresses, birthdays, anniversaries, all those supposedly random numbers that are thrown at us. Are they just a fluke, or maybe there is more to it than meets the eye.
I can't help myself but pay attention to numbers that I am surrounded by. Also, the repetition of numbers and/or symmetry of their combination make me think that the universe is sending me a message. Car plates, for example-if I see a plate number "3113" or "1331"-that would be a sign!
You will ask me what sign? Honestly, I don't know...but I feel like it means something.
